Sun Power for Sunflower: A New Energy Chapter for Trans-Oil

Trans-Oil Group is putting the sun to work in sunflower processing, completing a rooftop solar installation at Floarea Soarelui in Bălți, Moldova. The system is expected to supply approximately 45% of the plant’s electricity needs, reducing reliance on purchased power.

As Moldova’s largest sunflower oil producer, Floarea Soarelui can process up to 1,300 tonnes of sunflower seeds per day, giving energy efficiency a clear commercial importance. Generating electricity on site is expected to lower energy costs per tonne processed and strengthen the plant’s competitiveness.

This investment advances Trans-Oil’s modernization strategy, connecting cleaner energy with more efficient production and long-term value for investors.
